Following last week's post of some of my favorite products, I've been introduced to a few new companies I thought you might find interesting.
MR PORTER is the male counterpart to female cousin Net-a-Porter, being positioned as an online retail destination for men's style. They're launching this week with what is being called the biggest ever launch of a men's luxury-goods website.
If Mr. Porter is successful, it will prove that the evolved-metrosexual has become a peer to women when it comes to shopping, and looking their best. Men's online apparel sales are currently half ($4.5 billion) that of women's sales ($10.5 billion according to NPD). The industry will be watching closely to see if there are enough active male shoppers to support a fashion site.
