The business cable network CNBC will be revealing its first inaugural CNBC Disruptor 50 list this week.
From hundreds of nominations made by industry analysts, venture capitalists, startup investors, and beat reporters, CNBC created the list of 50 private, venture-backed companies disrupting the status quo in 10 traditional industries. Each day, CNBC’s Julia Boorstin and Andrew Ross Sorkin will reveal the disruptors in two of the ten industries on CNBC’s “Squawk Box” and “Fast Money.”
CNBC.com will have a special report, disruptor50.cnbc.com, which will include in-depth profiles of the 50 companies, CNBC’s methodology and the threats each company poses to the status quo across industries and for the market leaders. Additionally, CNBC will continue tracking each company’s progress in the coming year.
Of course, the network has plenty of ways for you to connect with the disruptor50.cnbc.com. Follow @CNBCDisruptors on Twitter. They’ll also be featuring Q&As with CNBC Disruptors on CNBC’s Facebook Page. Plus, CNBC’s Instagram & Tumblr sites will have behind-the-scenes photos and quotes from the disruptors.
