Sears pulls t-shirts with an image of the World Trade Center towers, and the word "Gotcha" emblazoned across the front

Sears department stores have been selling a t-shirt with the image of the Manhattan skyline, and the name of the manufacturer emblazoned across the front: it sounds innocent, and common enough.

Unfortunately, this skyline image contains the former World Trade Center Towers, with the name of the company--Gotcha emblazoned underneath.

Clearly, someone made a major error in judgment.

Or, in Sears' words, an "oversight."

We call it a "knucklehead" move.

"We began removing this T-shirt from stores earlier in the week when the image was brought to our attention," a representative for the company said in a statement. "We expect to have it removed from all stores as quickly as possible. We apologize for the oversight."

Still no word on why the company chose to place the Twin Towers on a t-shirt in the first place.
