Mattel is marketing its Elly May Barbie with a photo of Douglas portraying the character in the packaging. The suit seeks compensation for illegal usage of her name and likeness.
Douglas appeared in all 274 episodes of the CBS comedy show from 1962-1971. The show centered around the exploits of a "hillbilly" family from the South who moves to Beverly Hills after striking oil on their land.
