The de-titillating of Playboy, thanks to Apple's anti-obscenity rules.

Playboy magazine has jumped onto the digital bandwagon and created an application to view their magazine online via Apple's iPad.

Unfortunately, all the content will be "nipple free" and "SFW" (safe for work).

In fact, all you'll see of the Playmate of the Month is a headshot, thanks to Apple’s strict anti-obscenity rules.

Playboy agreed to censor its content in order to secure a place in the App Store, from which any software which Apple considers “obscene, pornographic, offensive or defamatory” is banned.

At $4.99 an issue, it seems you'll be paying full newsstand pricing, with all the "interesting pieces" removed.
