It seems like only last week that The Shops at Target were introduced (it was), and the retailer has already announced its new group of Main Street-style boutique stores-within-its-stores.
The new wave of shop will launch in the Fall, and are set to include Kirna Zabete (leather jackets) and Odin (knits and bags) from New York City; San Francisco’s The Curiosity Shoppe (novelty pieces and pillows) and Boston’s PATCH NYC (vintage inspired scarves and jewelry). The small-shop boutiques help bring a curated personalization to the Big Box store—a wise move for Target.
The boutiques are all lined up for limited engagement runs, but surely the successful ones will stick around awhile. The initial round of products in this next round will include more than 230 products, curated and created exclusively for Target.
As we reported earlier, the first round of specialty shops included The Candy Store, Cos Bar, Polka Dog Bakery, Privet House and The Webster.
The fall installment of The Shops at Target will debut Sept. 9 at all Target stores and Target.com
“The Shops program is the latest chapter in Target’s commitment to providing affordable, innovative design to our guests,” said Kathee Tesija, executive vice president of merchandising, Target. “For the fall installment of The Shops, we’ve selected four premier boutiques to help us co-create limited-time collections guests will embrace as they update their wardrobes and homes with the season’s must-have trends.”
