Architect Zaha Hadid’s Innovation Tower in Hong Kong. Iceberg or Cruise Ship?

Architect Zaha Hadid is one of a handful of starchitects on today’s world stage. Alongside Frank Gehry, Dominique Perrault, Daniel Libeskind, Norman Foster, and Jean Nouvel, Hadid is celebrity in the design world.

Recently, she’s taken on the Innovation Tower at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. It is currently mid-construction, but the folks at dezeen have quite a few renderings on display.

The building has been compared to an iceberg (perhaps in preparation for mass climate change), but we think it looks more like a cruise ship maneuvering its way cross a sea of other buildings.
