From 1946 to 1963 the Italian sports car company Cisitalia was ruled by controlled by the wealthy industrialist and sportsman Piero Dusio. While not nearly as well known as Ferrari, and Maserati and the like, Cisitalia made amazing works of automotive art. The Cisitalia 202 GT of 1946 is well known in the world as a "rolling sculpture". A 1954 Cisitalia 33DF Voloradente recently was sold by RM Auctions for nearly US$200,000, and a 1947 Cisitalia 202 Cabriolet by Pinin Farina sold (at RM Auctions as well) for well over US$300,000.
