"Barbie I Can Be an Architect" pitched to industry pros

I would imagine it is not often that journalists at Architectural Record, and Curbed get pitched by the PR flax at Mattel.

But, with the latest addition to the "Barbie I Can Be" line of career-oriented dolls being a "Barbie Architect," the pitch seems a relevant "no brainer" for coverage in the shelter and architecture pubs.

Barbie Architect, comes complete with a Barbie-pink blueprint holder, hardhat, high-heeled boots and black glasses. Mattel says she's "ready to tackle the daily responsibilities of a real architect in or out of the office... wearing an architecturally inspired dress showcasing a city skyline, Barbie doll’s outfit is symmetrically stylish with bold colors and clean lines."

Which all sounds perfect to be perched atop drafting tables (OK, computer monitors) from the likes of HOK to Andrew Skurman Architects. Afterall, didn't many architect's career dreams with Barbie's Dream House?
