If these five short films about love don’t stir something in you, and get you in the mood for Valentines Day, your heart must have been broken too many times. Go on a Date in the Lavatory, and in Seconds you will be Struck by a Paperman.
1). The Date (2011)
A short film about romance and soup, "The Date" chronicles the love of two friends that develops organically over a bowl of soup. Written and directed by Academy Award Winner Luke Matheny.
2). The Lavatory (2009)
An Oscar nominated Russian film about love and the random nature of when it strikes. The main character is a lonely female restroom attendant who discovers she has a secret admirer and searches frantically for his identity.
3). Seconds (2010)
“One day consists of 86,400 seconds. This is one of them” Seconds uses time to examine how we fill a lifetime.
4). Struck (2010)
On his way to work one day, Joel (Bodhi Elfman) is impaled through the chest by a three-foot arrow. But it doesnt harm him. And it wont come out. So Joel has to learn to deal both with his newfound protrusion, and his own painful loneliness. He tries to go to work, to date women, but no one seems ready to accept his strange flaw. Little does he know, his life is about to change forever...
5). Paperman (2012)
This film follows the story of a lonely young man in mid-century New York City, whose destiny takes an unexpected turn after a chance meeting with a beautiful woman on his morning commute.
