HOUSE PORN: A 1948 Colonial Revival Frozen in Time...Mrs. Robinson, You're Trying to Seduce Me.

Here is a time capsule for you. It is a pink Colonial Revival house, built in 1948 and located in Encino—the Los Angeles bedroom community where Hollywood celebrities once found quiet and warm weather. It’s currently for sale for $1.795 million.

According to listing information, the same owners lived here for 55 years, and from the looks of things, they chose to maintain the home’s existing style rather than upgrade or remodel. Everything from wood paneling, a professional-grade soda fountain, a clamshell-shaped bar and bright yellow brick flooring still adorn the house. It looks clean, well-maintained, and frozen in time. We personally love the wallpaper and colorful shag carpeting throughout—even in the bathrooms. Imagine the Key Parties, Avon ladies, summer BBQ’s and Tupperware parties this house has seen. We’re sure the ghost of Mrs. Robinson lurks here somewhere.
