I am a fourth-generation Californian, and I proudly call my state "the land of fruit and nuts."
San Francisco, in particular, is known for its laid-back, Haight-Ashbury vibe.
And now, we get to show our stripes just as travellers enter our fair city.
You see, a yoga room has been installed at San Francisco International Airport.
The quiet, dimly lit studio opened recently in a former storage room just past the security checkpoint in the airport's Terminal 2. Airport officials believe it is the world's first airport yoga studio. The room is open to all ticketed passengers, contains a few chairs and yoga mats but no instructors or televisions. To help find your inner peace, no shoes, food, drinks or cellphones are allowed.
