Introducing Ted Leonhardt

We are very pleased to have Ted Leonhardt as a contributing author at THE FIVE.

Ted has provided management consulting and negotiation training exclusively to creative businesses since 2005. He lives in Seattle and assists companies in the US and UK by offering the seminar “Negotiating Success,” and business consulting services covering: acquisitions, strategic positioning, partner communications, sales and marketing.

In 1985 he cofounded the brand design firm The Leonhardt Group (TLG) with his wife and partner Carolyn Leonhardt, and then sold the company in 1999, making it part of Cordiant Communications Group. Their clients included Microsoft, Nissan, Charles Schwab, Nordstrom, Washington Mutual, Electronic Arts, Apple, XO Communications, Boeing and Weyerhaeuser.

in 2000. Ted and Carolyn moved to Europe where Ted served Cordiant’s design and branding group –Fitch:Worldwide– as Chief Creative Officer/Global in 2001 and 2002. His role included creative responsibility for 570 employees in 25 offices around the world. In 2003 Ted joined Schawk, Inc., as President, Anthem Worldwide, through early 2005, a brand packaging consultancy with eight offices in the US, UK, Canada and Singapore. The Anthem assignment included building a management team and acquisitions in the US and UK, which saw revenues grow more than 20% in 2004 and nearly double in 2005.

He's lectured and written on the subject of design and business for many organizations and publications including: AIGA, APDF, IPA, PRSA, NIRI, Communication Arts, Design Week, GDUSA, How Magazine and Marketing.
