Marvel Disney has been hard at work scripting and casting for Guardians of the Galaxy, the culmination of Phase 2 in Marvel’s cinematic powerhouse of super heroes that includes this years Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World. And the first bit of casting news we’ve heard is that Chris Pratt has been cast in the lead role as Star-Lord, well, Peter Quill if you wanna get technical.
Now, you may be asking yourself, Chris who? But I’m betting that’s exactly what Marvel is banking on.
Chris Pratt can currently be seen on TV’s Park’s and Recreation as well as the Oscar nominated Zero Dark Thirty and has built his career landing small comedic television roles on Everwood and The OC.
Now is Chris Pratt a household name? Not yet, he isn’t. But neither was Chris Hemsworth when he signed onto Thor. In all actuality, Mr. Pratt is probably going to lay low for the time being and will use Guardians to launch his career into super stardom. Either way, Marvel fans have got a lot to look forward to in the coming years.
