Disney California Adventure adds Buena Vista Street and Cars Land

Disney's California Adventure has two new additions opening soon, helping guests float through an idealized version of 1920's Hollywood--a time when Walt Disney first arrived in California. Think of Buena Vista Street as the Disney California Adventure's version of Disneyland's Main Street--this one with the iconic Red Car Trolley, just like my Mother used to ride when she was a girl growing up in Los Angeles.

Cars Land is a 12-acre section of the park, with a re-imaginged Route 66 with right-out-of-the-movies locales called Ramone’s House of Body Art, Flo’s V8 Café, the Cozy Cone Motel and Luigi’s Casa della Tires, and rides called Luigi’s Flying Tires (a guy's version of the Mad Hatter's Tea Cup ride in Fantasyland) and Radiator Springs Racers (the Adventure Park's version of the Autopia ride in Tomorrowland).

Grand Opening of the new rides is slated for June 15th, according to the Disney Parks Blog (images via Disney Parks Blog)
