Someone needs to tell advertisers to stop hiring big-name celebrities as brand endorsers, then re-touching their images to the point where you can barely recognize their famous faces.
A case in point is Ann Taylor's new Fall Campaign featuring Demi Moore. If I hadn't seen the ad in context (an article about the new campaign), I would never recognized Moore in the ad. The photo is beautifully shot by legendary fashion photographer, Patrick Demarchelier but barely resembles Demi Moore.
Advertisers need to stop and recognize that if they spend all of that money on an endorsement deal, they're just throwing it out the window if they over-retouch their celebrity money-maker.
