Ellen DeGeneres transfers her likability-factor to JC Penney in new advertising campaign

In 2006, Ellen DeGeneres appeared in one of the most memorable American Express campaigns of the last decade. She's also been spokesman for Cover Girl cosmetics. And, as of late, she's fronting the JC Penney brand.

The campaign of five advertising commercials highlight some of JCP's recent strategic changes since hiring former Apple executive Ron Johnson as their CEO. Penney's strategy is called "Fair and Square" and is focused on delivering simple, honest pricing, month-long values, and hassle-free "happy returns."
