A few months ago, Mattel introduced Barbie Video Girl. a camera-equipped doll with a lense embedded within her cleavage necklace, and a color LCD screen in her back.
So, what could go wrong with this picture?
How about kiddie porn?
Apparently, the FBI is concerned that the toy is a "possible child pornography production method."
The camera can capture up to 30 minutes of video footage, which pedophiles could then upload to their computers.
"The FBI is not reporting that anything has happened," Barbie manufacturer Mattel said in a statement, adding that its toys are always "designed with children and their best interests in mind. Many of Mattel's employees are parents themselves and we understand the importance of child safety – it is our number one priority."
