It seems that Lithuania would like their soldiers serving in Afghanistan to smell Lithuanian.
In fact, they'd like the whole nation to smell the same.
And, thanks to the national scent of this ex-Soviet Baltic state they all just might.
Yep, that's right, Lithuania has a national perfume which is said to excude the character of the nation.
The perfume "Lithuania" is a blend of sandalwood, cedar and musk with the designer saying the smell of wood fires has been added, reminiscent of pagan rituals.
The country's foreign ministry has sent bottles of the new fragrance to all of its ambassadors. And to the military. And, hotels and airports.
Lithuanian cented candles will reportedly go on sale next month.
