McDonald’s Creates “Hamburger Timetable” for Train Commuters.

McDonald’s has created a digital ‘Hamburger Timetable’ near one of their restaurants at the Warsaw Central Train Station in Poland. In cooperation with PKP (Polish State Railways), advertising agency DDB created a special real-time timetable and installed it on the way to McDonald’s.

It tells the train departure time, destination, platform and waiting time measured not in minutes or hours but… in the hamburgers, cokes and fries a customer might manage to eat before a train leaves.

McDonald’s apparently saw an increase of 4,500 customers in the first month of its campaign, as waiting customers started to spend more time inside the fast-food restaurant than waiting on the train platform.
