Last year, Olympic swimming phenom Michael Phelps was caught in a photo holding a bong.
This year he's featured in a Subway sandwich ad gesturing underwater--wanting a $5 footlong sandwich.
Maybe he's got the munchies.
Subway has stood by their man, and continued to use Phelps even after Phelps lost his Kellogg's endorsement deal over the marijuana controversy.
The sandwich chain this week is debuting the new TV spot featuring Phelps, showing him underwater gesturing with his hands for the $5 footlong. The camera remains submerged as Phelps peaks out of the pool and says: "Hey guys, can I get one of those?"
Yes, definitely a case of the munchies.
