Mr. Peanut gets mixed up with Men’s Health

Men’s Health magazine and Planters nuts have partnered to create Planters NUT•rition Men’s Health Recommended Mix. “The modern man is busier than ever, and he’s looking to get the best out of life and take care of himself,” the marketer says. 

The Mix, features a blend of three nuts which Planters and Men’s Health say men love – almonds, peanuts, and pistachios. It contains six grams of protein and six vitamins and minerals per one ounce serving.

To launch the product as the “manliest mix they’ve ever assembled,” Mr. Peanut has teamed up with his friends – Alejandro the Almond and a new pistachio character – in an advertising campaign which is suggestive of manly scenes from movies like Ghost, and The Karate Kid.
