A couple of years ago, the creators of the GEICO cavemen ads thought to turn commercials into an ABC television series. The show was described as a "unique buddy comedy that offers a clever twist on stereotypes and turns race relations on its head". Only 7 of the show's 13 episodes ran before it was canceled.
Now, a Twitter account called "Sh*t My Dad Says" is being turned into a CBS television series featuring William Shatner. The difference between the Cavemen failure and SMDS's ultimate success may come from the show's creators--Max Mutchnick and David Kohan who were the creative geniuses behind the show "Will & Grace." Have a look at the preview reel, and decide for yourself.
