Sony has been struggling to find a market as of late. Once the leader in consumer technology innovation, their star has lost a bit of its shine. So, it is not surprising that the company has reached out to an untapped market of consumers—those who want to buy consumer electronics for their pets.
So today—April Fool’s Day, Sony has announced its new line of Animalia products specially designed and created for pets, under the tagline: “Make. Believe.”
“Whether they’re an urban commuter, a documentary buff looking to spend the night in, or a hardcore fitness nut with an active lifestyle,” The tongue-in-cheek introductory line-up includes Sony-branded products targeted at owners with dogs, cats and hamsters, with additional devices and networked services slated for release later this year.
