"Make a deal with me kid, and you can have the car and everything that goes along with it,"--that's the devilish line from the latest epic tale from Mercedes-Benz introducing its game changing CLA Class sedan during this year's Super Bowl.
The company has crafted a commercial for the big day that features Victoria Secret model Kate Upton, singer Usher, and actor Willem Dafoe who plays a devilish character tempting a fantasy-come-true life available only with the purchase of the new Mercedes. The new car (which starts at $29,900).
The spot is classic Mercedes-Benz epic storytelling, pulling at the emotional heartstrings of anyone who’s ever dreamed of owning a Mercedes-Benz. It has been a common theme of the car company for decades.
Mercedes-Benz often uses the platform of the Super Bowl to rollout its latest offerings, and this year they have the added benefit of the game being played at the “Mercedes-Benz Superdome” in New Orleans. Yes, every time a game-day announcer says “Let's get back to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome" consumers will be reminded of the car maker, and its latest addition—the CLA Class sedan. It is quite a deal with the devil, we think.
