Fox has reportedly sold out of in-game advertising time for February's broadcast of the Super Bowl, with ads selling for between $2.8 million and $3 million per 30-second spot.
This early sellout bucks the trend of slower sales over the last few years. The WSJ reports that the vast majority of Super Bowl ads are usually gone by fall, but the final few can take until January to move. An October sellout is a major economic indicator.
Marketers advertising in the game include Anheuser-Busch InBev, PepsiCo, E-Trade and automotive marketers Kia Motors, Hyundai and Audi.
