Woman's Day has hired a character from TV Land's "Hot in Cleveland" to pen a column for the magazine.
In future scripts, Valerie Bertinelli's character on the cable TV show will be hired by Women's Day to write a column. Actual articles will appear in Woman's Day, under the show character's nom de plume.
The cross-promotional deal, between Woman's Day, which is owned by Hachette Fillipacchi Media, and TV Land, which is part of MTV Networks, was the TV network's idea. It is part of marketing effort to reach women A25-54. Women's Day has a circulation of nearly 4 million.
